The Balvenie Distillery dates back to 1892 in Dufftown on Speyside. The whiskies are still crafted according to traditional methods, using barley grown by the distillery, malted on their own malting floor. The DoubleWood 12 Year-Old owes its name to the aging process, which takes place mainly in traditional whisky casks before being finished in Sherry casks, resulting in a Scotch with aromas of honey, sweet spices and orange.
