From the village of Maotai in the Guizhou province of China, Moutai has acquired through the centuries the well deserved status of National Liquor, and its reputation as one of the world's finest spirits.

A protected and unique natural environment combines with the strict respect of traditional production methods are required to produce Moutai from local sorghum, wheat and water.

During the give years of production and the aging period, Moutai slowly develops its fine, round and elegant soy aromas, with a full aftertaste and a great aromatic persistence that remain in the glass long after it's been drunk.

Echt eau-de-vie of Moutai is kept separate according to its age, production cycle and aroma, aging slowly and developing its own character and personality.
It is then the work of the team of Master Blenders to blend those independent batches together and thus obtain the harmony in taste and aromas that characterize a great spirit.

This particular blend is made only in small quantities each year, allowing the Master Blenders a great level of severity in their selection process, and thus guaranteeing that only the finest batches will find their way unto this unique final blend.
